Lenovo, JD.com Expand Cooperation to Boost Sales in China

Lenovo and JD.com, China's leading e-commerce company, announced to expand their existing cooperation to increase online sales of Lenovo products in China, according to Lenovo's press release on July 26. Based on the agreement, JD.com will become Lenovo's preferred online platform to launch strategic products, including notebook and desktop PCs, smartphones, tablets and other smart devices. JD.com in return will provide Lenovo with data analysis, marketing, warehousing, and technology support to strengthen Lenovo's understanding of customer needs for customized products development. The two companies aim to sell 60 billion RMB (US$9 Billion; US$1=6.65 RMB) worth of Lenovo products through the online platform over the next three years.
