TAICS (Taiwan Association of Information and Communication Standards) and WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) has signed a memorandum of cooperation, which will serve as the foundation for cooperation for both sides in future developments of international wireless charging standards, according to MOEA's (Ministry of Economic Affairs) press release on June 16. Under the invitation of HTC, which is a member of the WPC Board of Management, WPC is hosting a four-day standards meetings in Taipei, together with a trade show and seminar to showcase the latest wireless charging technologies and components from around the world. In addition to components, the trade show also demonstrates several objects of daily use with built-in wireless charging function, such as wireless-charged machine tools, kitchenware, as well as furniture and handbags that support wireless charging for mobile phones.
