Intel, Foxconn Join Hands For 5G Technology

Intel and Foxconn announced to sign an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) at Computex 2016 to collaborate on several Internet infrastructure technologies for the development of 5G technology, reported China Times on June 1. The technologies include CRAN (Cloud Radio Access Network), UE (User Equipment), MEC (Mobile Edge Controller), virtualization network, and a 5G verification lab built in Asia Pacific Telecom, of which Foxconn is a stakeholder. Foxconn will also provide hardware solutions to end-user devices, wireless access and core network equipment to help the industry cope with the increasing complexity of data transmission.
