Innolux to Release 40-inch TV Panel Orders to CEC Panda
February 13, 2016
Affected by the earthquake in southern Taiwan on February 6, Innolux is reportedly to release some orders for 40-inch LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV panels to Chinese contract manufacturer CEC Panda, reported the Economic Daily News on February 13. The quake damaged facilities and caused equipment to shift position in Innolux's manufacturing sites in Tainan. While 75% of the production lines resumed operation the next day, it is estimated that the company will need around half a month before its Tainan facilities can be fully restored to normal. Hence, it is anticipated that the short supply of 40-inch LCD TV panels will not be resolved until March, said the report.
