Dell to Invest US$125 Billion in China over 5 Years
September 11, 2015
Computer maker Dell said that the company plans to invest around US$125 billion in the Chinese market, expecting to bring about US$175 billion to China's imports and outputs and create one million employment opportunities, reported Reuters on September 10. Besides, Dell will cooperate with Chinese Academy of Sciences to develop AI (Artificial Intelligence) and with software company Kingsoft to build cloud computing and big data platforms. In 2010, Dell announced a US$250-billion investment plan over the next 10 years in China. However, it was unclear if the US$125 billion was part of that plan.
