ASUS projects a 36% growth in desktop PC shipments to reach around 3.0 million units this year, up from 2.2 million units in 2014, reported Commercial Times on June 8. Particularly, in the commercial market, ASUS expects to double its worldwide shipments to 800,000 units this year, thanks to the educational tenders in China and Taiwan, as well as demand from Europe and Asia Pacific. In the long run, ASUS aims to take up 30% of the Chinese commercial desktop PC market. As for consumer desktop PCs, ASUS anticipates to ship 2.2 million units in 2015, up around 18.2% year on year.
