TPV Technology Limited, a major LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitor and TV manufacturer, forecasted that the company will ship over 70 million units of both products this year, up from 68 million units in 2014, thanks to stronger demand from branded vendors and digital signage in China, report Commercial Times on May 7. LCD TV shipments are expected to grow 18% year on year to 20 million units in 2015, with growth momentum coming from Haier, Skyworth, and LeTV. LCD monitor shipments will stand at 49 million to 50 million units. Panels used to make monitors and TVs will be supplied by Innolux, AUO, and CEC Panda. Meanwhile, the company is optimistic about digital signage demand this year, expecting a 30% to 40% year on year growth from 360,000 units shipped last year.
