Asus aims to boost its global smartphone shipments to 25 million units this year, tripling its shipments of 8.5 million units in 2014, reported Economic Daily News on March 10. The company's rosy outlook is based on the brisk sales of its ZenFone series, which feature high-end specifications at affordable prices. So far Asus has sold over 10 million smartphones around the world. The firm plans to launch the new 5.5-inch ZenFone 2 series to China, Hong Kong, Europe, Brazil, and the United States. Asus is on track to ship 1 million smartphones next month and 2 million per month by June.
