Samsung to Build US$1 Billion Display Factory in Vietnam

Samsung has got the Vietnamese government's approval to build a US$1 billion display plant in the northern province of Bac Ninh, reported Vietnam News on July 3. The new plant will begin construction this month and will begin operation in the first quarter of 2015, with focus on HD (High Definition) display manufacturing and assembly, including the next-generation curved and foldable displays. With the new construction plan, Samsung has invested around US$ 68 billion in Vietnam and ranks among the country's largest foreign investors, said the report.
