RFMD to Set up R&D Facility in Shanghai

According to EETimes, US-based mobile communications chip supplier RFMD (RF Micro Devices) is planning to set up a R&D center in its Shanghai plant located in the Zhanjiang High-Tech Park so as to provide better R&D support for ODMs (Original Design Manufacturer), OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer), and Chinese and international mobile phone makers. In addition to this R&D center, RFMD is also increasing investment in its Asian bases, including sales and customer support centers in Shenzhen and Taipei and a module assembly plant in Beijing.
