Toshiba to Kick off 43-nm NAND Flash Production in 2007

A Nikkei report says that Toshiba will start manufacturing NAND flash memory using 43-nm technology in its plant located in Mie Prefecture, Japan, during 2007 and 2008. Compared with 56-nm technology, the advanced manufacturing process is able to boost the production capacity by 40%, thereby cutting the production costs by 40%. These chips will be used in memory cards and mobile devices.
