CTTL to Establish Mobile Phone Test Center in Shenzhen

CTTL (China Telecommunication Technology Labs), currently administrated by the CATR (China academy of Telecommunication Research) of China's MII (Ministry of Information Industry) announced that it has signed an agreement with the Shenzhen government in China whereby the government will invest approximately 100 million RMB (US$12.9 million; US$1 = 7.7 RMB) in CTTL's new mobile phone test center in Shenzhen. CTTL currently has a lab in Beijing, which handles all testing work for mobile phone vendors. The establishment of this new test center will reduce the testing time by half, significantly shortening the time-to-market of Chinese mobile phones.
