Also provided are shipment breakdowns by system technology, operating systems, display, embedded Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS, and examines production locations, shipment destinations, and customer portfolios. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with Smartphone makers. The report finds that the Taiwanese Smartphone industry's shipment volume and value, after witnessing sequential declines in the first quarter of 2011, both enjoyed sequential growth in the second quarter of 2011.The industry's shipment volume in the second quarter of 2011 continued to post a triple-digit year-on-year growth starting from the first quarter. It is projected that the industry's shipment volume will record sequential growth again in the third quarter of 2011. Overall, it is projected that the year-on-year shipment volume growth will continue well into the third quarter of 2011 and throughout 2011, but at a relatively slow pace.
