Abstract

The global economy has ridden along a bumpy road in 2016, with the Brexit causing greater uncertainty about the prospects for recovery. In the first half of 2016, slack demand for motherboards and desktop PCs was witnessed around the world, and the shipment performance was worse than expected. However, as the inventory at channel distributors is running low, plus the coming holiday season in the second half of the year, better shipment performance of the motherboard and desktop PC industries can be anticipated.
