Abstract

The report finds that shipment volume of the Taiwanese server industry dipped 15.7% sequentially and 0.5% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2016, owing to the deferred demand for Grantley platform. Though the market is expecting a reshuffle, large-sized ISPs or international server brands are still going to prioritize Taiwanese server manufacturers, except Chinese brands who favor homegrown products. Therefore, shipment volume of the server systems shipped at full system, barebones, and board levels is anticpated to have witnessed sequential growth in the third quarter of 2016.
