Abstract

Wi-Fi (Wireless-Fidelity) devices typically transmit signals using either the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz frequency. Recent years, however, have witnessed Wi-Fi devices operating with frequencies below 1GHz and above 60GHz. This report looks at the development of the Wi-Fi in these new frequencies and examines opportunities and challenges facing Wi-Fi and other wireless communication standards.
