Abstract

The report finds shipment volume of the Taiwanese server system industry at the full system/barebones and board levels in the first quarter of 2017 both declined sequentially. This was attributed mainly to the deferred demand in anticipation of the mass production of Purley server platforms in the second quarter of 2017. Bolstered by the rise in demand for data computing, shipment volume of the industry has grown sequentially in the second quarter of 2017, and the sequential growth is anticipated to continue into the second half of 2017.
