According to MIC optimistic-scenario forecasts, worldwide WiMAX CPE shipment value is expected to reach NT$351.3 billion (US$10.65 billion; US$1=NT$33.0) by 2013, and cable modem shipment value is expected to reach NT$137.7 billion (US$4.17 billion) by 2013
802.16m product certification and development in 2009 are expected to boost new WiMAX network deployment or existing network upgrade, although new subscriber growth is expected to be hurt by the global economic turmoil
