Japanese and Korean Vendors Lead in IGZO Technology: MIC
August 19, 2016

Japanese vendors take up over half of the total production capacity at approximately 65% in 2015 in terms of LCD (IGZO) production capacity by country,, according to MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute), a Taipei-based IT research institute. "However, the appearance of two Korea display vendors and other Chinese display vendors has brought some dramatic changes to reshuffle the market in 2016. Korean vendors have surpassed Japan to claim over 50% of the market and are expected to grab nearly 60% of the LCD (IGZO) market by 2017," says Chung-yu Yang, industry analyst with MIC.
