Taiwanese embedded and automation solution provider Advantech is expanding the space and capacity of its new European service center based in the Netherlands, the United Evening News reported on November 7, adding that the new center is slated to kick off operations in January 2018. Built as a smart building, the center is to serve as the company's European headquarters as well as a demo field for IoT (Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 in Europe. To expand its European presence, the company has also added two business branches in Sweden and Barcelona, Spain. Currently, Europe has accounted for nearly 15% of the company's revenue and with various efforts, the company strives to increase its revenue from Europe to 350 million Euro (US$407 million; US$1=0.86 Euro) by 2025.
