Qualcomm, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo Sign USD12 Billion Deal

Amid Trump's visit to Beijing, Qualcomm has recently entered separate MoUs (Memorandum of Understandings) with three Chinese smartphone brands Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo, under which each is expected to purchase components from Qualcomm with a consolidated value of about USD 12 billion in the next three years, the United Daily News reported on November 9. The signing ceremony of MoUs took place in the meeting between President of the People of Republic of China Xi Jinping and the President of the United States Donald Trump, with Qualcomm being part of the US trade delegation to China. All stakeholders had attended and signed their respective MoUs with Qualcomm in the said ceremony.
