Microsoft announced the launch of a new generation of notebook PCs with Intel and Qualcomm at the 2017 Computex held in Taipei, Taiwan, from May 30- June 3, reported United Daily News on May 31. They are referring to these PCs as “Always Connected” that will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor and will support the built-in LTE (Long Term Evolution) and eSIM (electronic Subscriber Identification Module) technologies. On top of that, Microsoft is also teaming up with Qualcomm and mobile operators for eSIM connectivity that allows users to choose and activate data plans easily. Companies including ASUS, HP, and Lenovo are committed to making Always Connected PCs, which are anticipated to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2017.

A plethora of latest trends and technological developments in the ICT industry have addressed at this year's Computex Taipei, and with over 5,000 booths, it has succeeded in attracting a total of 1,600 exhibitors from 26 countries.
